I am new to E85 but everything I have learned so far about the fuel looks very promising.

I am working with my cam designer who is very well know in the LS world but he is new to E85. My CR is going to be between 13.3 - 13.5:1 and my guy is researching what are considered safe level of DCR and Static compression. I am going with a mild cam design with a short intake duration.

I live in Houston and in the winter we only drop to the level two blend of E74 which still has a relatively high octane rating, and I may add a little torqo to make up the difference.

What is considered a safe range of DCR and SCR with a LS7 aluminum block and heads?

Thanks!

Hi Everyone on E85Performance forum. Just joined the forum and enjoy all the input from everyone else on E85. I currently have just converted my Yamaha FZR waverunner over to E85 and am dialing in the AFR with an Innovate wideband 0-2 sensor kit and Vi-pec engine management ECM.
Engine is 1.8 liter supercharged 4 cylinder with 22 lbs of boost at 9000 rpm.
Best speed of 92.2 on racing gasoline. Using twin pumps in series to avoid any pressure drop. Aeromotive 340 in tank feeding bosch 044 inline, with ID 1000cc injectors and FAST 11/16 ID fuel rail with Marren pressure dampner and Mallory adjustable regulator. . Taken it out for a couple shakedown cruises to monitor AFR and havent pulled the trigger yet but getting it dialed in pretty nice.
Will post some pics of my fuel system conversion soon.

So I've went ahead and purchased 316L stainless steel hard line to run the length of the car, but I'm still debating on the hose choice for coming down from the fuel tank and then going from the regulator to the fuel rail.

I know I need PTFE hose to be compatible with E85, but now I'm hearing I need graphite impregnated PTFE hose to be completely worry free. So I'm looking to you guys to suggest what hose options are out there. I found ANfittingsdirect.com where they are extremely low cost, but I heard they are using straight teflon and their fittings are JIC-2 and are not really up to par. Then on the flip side there is the XRP HS-79 hose at JDA, but it's $32+ a foot.

I guess what I am looking for is the lowest cost hose that still provides acceptable performance for E85 fuel with no fuel vapor leakage. Thoughts?

Just as the title says E70 versus E85 what is the proven difference running E70 over E85 on tune. The stations around here have not got their summer blend of E85 here yet and it's testing out at E70. Running the Pro Charged set up I am F1R with around 18 - 20lbs boost is it going to hurt the performance that much or will it just be a little on the rich side and only slow it down a couple hundreds.

Don't want to hurt the motor any so I'm looking to see if any one has tried the E70 and can give me some results of it.
Thanks!
